Today we remember when our founder, duduzile zamantungwa mabaso was on a panel at the first Abantu Book Fest in 2016.

In a discussion titled, Our Stories On Stage and On Screen, Mabaso chats with author Nozizwe Cynthia Jele and actor, Florence Masebe about how our stories appear on television.
The trio talked about how television story rooms work, how books are adapted into film as well as how actors work with the written word to create their on screen performances.

Jele’s 2010 debut novel Happiness is a Four-Letter Word (Kwela Books) was adapted into a film directed by Thabang Moleya and released in 2016. So, she reflected on what it felt like for her to watch her novel be penal-beaten into the film.
